Provider websites, public plan information, FCC/public availability data where applicable, and internal research. Methodology

Nationwide 5G included

Every unlimited plan includes 5G access where available. No add-on fee, no separate 5G plan — just a compatible device and coverage in your area.

Mix & match per line

“Unlimited Your Way” lets each line on your account sit on a different tier. A teenager on Value 2.0, a parent on Premium 2.0 — everyone pays for what they need.

Unlimited US/Canada/Mexico

Every tier includes unlimited talk, text, and data across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. No roaming charges between the three countries.

No long-term service contract

AT&T postpaid wireless is month-to-month. Device installment agreements are separate if you finance a phone, but the service itself has no annual contract.

Popular Plans

Two Plans Most People Choose

Extra 2.0 is the most popular tier for a reason — 100 GB of high-speed data covers the vast majority of users. Elite 2.0 is AT&T's strongest plan for travelers and hotspot-heavy users. The rep confirms the real per-line price for your setup.

Extra 2.0 — Most popular

The plan most people land on. 100 GB of high-speed data and 50 GB of hotspot cover streaming, navigation, and daily use without coming close to the threshold for most billing cycles.

  • $50.00/mo. regular single-line price (+ taxes & fees).
  • As low as $34.00/line at 4 lines with autopay & paperless.
  • 100 GB high-speed data; may slow during congestion after that.
  • 50 GB mobile hotspot; slowed to 128 Kbps after cap.
  • Unlimited talk/text/data in US, Canada & Mexico. 5G included.

Elite 2.0 — AT&T’s best plan

The everything-included tier: unlimited high-speed data that can’t be slowed by usage, 250 GB hotspot, international coverage in 210+ countries, and free watch + tablet access per line.

  • $80.00/mo. regular single-line price (+ taxes & fees).
  • As low as $70.00/line at 4 lines with autopay & paperless.
  • Unlimited high-speed data — no congestion-based slowdown.
  • 250 GB hotspot. AT&T Turbo for gaming/streaming/video calls.
  • Free smartwatch + tablet access per line. 20 GB data in 210+ countries.

Final pricing, fees, equipment, speeds, and availability are controlled by the provider and should be confirmed before ordering.

AT&T Unlimited Plans

Four Tiers — All Unlimited Talk, Text & Data

AT&T's “Unlimited Your Way” 2.0 lineup lets you mix and match tiers on a single account. Per-line pricing drops as you add lines — the 4-line prices below already reflect the autopay & paperless discount. Single-line prices are the regular rate before that discount.

Pricing reflects publicly listed AT&T rates as of July 2026; actual pricing depends on number of lines, autopay/paperless enrollment, and eligibility, and is confirmed on your call.

AT&T advertises Value 2.0 as low as $30/line, which requires 4 lines, eligible autopay & paperless, AND a $5/mo. BYOD bill credit per line for up to 36 months.

Final pricing, fees, equipment, speeds, and availability are controlled by the provider and should be confirmed before ordering.

Choosing a Plan

Which Tier Fits Each Line?

The tiers are designed to let you match each person's actual usage. Here's how to think about it — and remember, you can mix and match on a single account.

Value 2.0

Most affordable

5 GB high-speed data · 3 GB hotspot

Light data users who spend most of their time on Wi-Fi at home or work. Solid entry point for kids, secondary lines, or anyone who mostly calls and texts.

Extra 2.0

Most popular

100 GB high-speed data · 50 GB hotspot

The plan most people should start with. 100 GB of high-speed data covers heavy streaming, social media, and navigation without hitting the threshold for an entire billing cycle in most cases.

Premium 2.0

Unlimited high-speed data · 100 GB hotspot

Power users who don’t want to think about data limits, plus anyone who travels to Latin America regularly. The congestion-proof data is the real upgrade over Extra.

Elite 2.0

Best plan

Unlimited high-speed data · 250 GB hotspot

Frequent international travelers, road warriors who depend on hotspot, and anyone who wants watch + tablet lines included. The strongest all-in plan AT&T offers.

Included on Every Plan

What All Four Tiers Share

Regardless of whether you pick Value, Extra, Premium, or Elite, every line gets these features. The tiers differ in data thresholds, hotspot, and premium perks — not the fundamentals.

Unlimited talk, text & data

Unlimited in and between the U.S., Canada, and Mexico on every tier. No roaming charges between these three countries — calls, texts, and data just work.

5G access

5G is included on all four plans where available. You need a 5G-capable device and 5G coverage in your area. AT&T’s 5G network covers 99%+ of Americans.

AT&T ActiveArmor security

Spam call and text blocking, data-breach alerts, and identity monitoring. Requires the ActiveArmor app download — included at no extra cost on every unlimited plan.

AT&T SplitPay

Share one wireless account and split the bill among multiple people. Each person pays their own share directly — useful for families, roommates, or shared accounts.

AT&T Guarantee

Automatic bill credit for qualifying network outages (60+ minutes, caused by a single incident affecting 8+ towers; must be connected to an impacted tower at onset; restrictions apply).

Mix & match (Unlimited Your Way)

Every line on an account can be on a different tier. A family of four might have two lines on Extra and two on Value — each priced individually.

Switching & Bring Your Own Device

Keep Your Number, Bring Your Phone

Switching carriers doesn't mean losing your number or buying a new phone. Here's what the process actually looks like.

Keep your number & bring your device

  • Port your existing number from any carrier — it transfers during activation, typically in minutes.
  • Bring your own eligible smartphone (BYOD) and get a $5/mo. bill credit per line for up to 36 months.
  • BYOD credit is what enables AT&T’s advertised “$30/line” Value 2.0 pricing (4 lines + autopay & paperless + BYOD credit).
  • Your phone needs to be unlocked and compatible with AT&T’s network — the rep confirms compatibility on the call.

Switch & device promotions

  • AT&T regularly runs trade-in and switch promotions for new and returning customers. Ask us what’s currently available.
  • Device installment agreements let you spread the cost of a new phone over monthly payments — separate from your wireless plan.
  • Activation fee applies when setting up new lines (confirmed on your call).
  • We do not set or guarantee specific device-credit amounts — those are AT&T promotions that change periodically. The rep confirms what’s live at the time of your call.
Discounts & Bundles

Ways the Per-Line Price Comes Down

The monthly rate per line depends on several levers — most stacking. These are AT&T product features; Finix Connect does not set or guarantee pricing.

Autopay & paperless — up to $10/mo. off per line

Enroll in both paperless billing and autopay with a bank account or the AT&T Points Plus Card from Citi to receive $10/mo. off per phone line. With a debit card the discount is reduced to $5/mo. per line. Discount starts within 2 bills.

The 4-line prices in our plans table already include this discount. If you opt out of autopay/paperless, your per-line rate increases accordingly.

Internet + wireless bundle — 20% off one service

Bundle AT&T internet (fiber or Internet Air) and unlimited wireless to save 20% every month on one service. The discount works both directions — wireless customers adding fiber save on fiber, and vice versa.

Already have or considering AT&T Fiber? See AT&T Fiber plans — bundling them together is one of the most effective ways to reduce both bills.

BYOD credit — $5/mo. per line

Bring your own eligible smartphone and receive a $5/mo. bill credit per line for up to 36 months. This is the credit that enables AT&T's advertised “$30/line” Value 2.0 figure (4 lines + autopay & paperless + BYOD credit).

Affiliation & age-based discounts

  • Up to 20% off eligible plans (e.g., Premium 2.0) for qualifying employees, teachers, military/veterans, union members, first responders, and nurses/physicians (FirstNet). Ask us if you qualify.
  • Customers 55+: two lines of wireless + home internet for $99/mo. plus taxes & fees.
  • AT&T Prepaid is a separate lineup starting at $25/mo. with no annual contract and no credit check — mention it to the rep if postpaid isn’t the right fit.
Fees & Fine Print

The Fine Print — Honest Breakdown

Taxes, fees & activation

  • All plan prices are before taxes & fees — the actual monthly total is higher.
  • Activation fee applies when setting up new lines (amount confirmed on your call).
  • Autopay/paperless discount ($10/mo. or $5/mo. per line) starts within 2 bills of enrollment.
  • BYOD credit ($5/mo. per line) applies for up to 36 months on eligible devices.

Data & deprioritization

  • Value 2.0: after 5 GB of high-speed data, AT&T may temporarily slow speeds during network congestion. Data still works — it’s not cut off.
  • Extra 2.0: same congestion-based slowdown applies after 100 GB of high-speed data.
  • Premium 2.0 and Elite 2.0: unlimited high-speed data that can’t slow based on how much you use.
  • AT&T may temporarily slow data speeds if the network is busy, regardless of plan.

Hotspot throttle

  • Value 2.0: 3 GB hotspot; after that, hotspot speed slows to a max of 128 Kbps for the rest of the bill cycle.
  • Extra 2.0: 50 GB hotspot; same 128 Kbps throttle after the cap.
  • Premium 2.0: 100 GB hotspot; same 128 Kbps throttle after the cap.
  • Elite 2.0: 250 GB hotspot; same 128 Kbps throttle after the cap. 128 Kbps is effectively unusable for anything beyond basic text browsing.
What Happens When You Call

We Help You Pick the Right Tier for Every Line

Per-line pricing depends on how many lines you have, which discounts you qualify for, and which tier each person needs. That's exactly what the call sorts out.

We walk through each line’s data habits — heavy streamer, mostly-on-Wi-Fi, international traveler — and recommend the tier that fits without overpaying.

Confirm real per-line pricing

The advertised per-line price depends on your line count, autopay/paperless, and BYOD eligibility. We confirm the actual monthly figure for your specific setup.

Handle switching & activation

Keep your number, bring your phone or ask about current device deals, and walk through activation. No surprises on the first bill.

Good Fit For

Who AT&T Wireless Works Best For

AT&T's unlimited lineup is strongest for multi-line families who want to mix and match, frequent travelers who need international coverage built in, and anyone already on AT&T Fiber who wants the bundle discount.

Multi-line families

Per-line pricing drops significantly at 3–4+ lines. Mix and match means the kids can be on Value while parents pick Extra or Premium.

International travelers

Premium 2.0 covers 20 Latin American countries. Elite 2.0 covers 210+ destinations with 20 GB of data — among the strongest international packages from any US carrier.

Heavy hotspot users

Elite 2.0’s 250 GB hotspot cap is the highest in the lineup. If you depend on hotspot for a laptop while traveling or as a backup connection, that headroom matters.

AT&T Fiber customers

The 20% internet + wireless bundle discount makes both services cheaper. If you already have AT&T Fiber, adding wireless (or vice versa) is one of the more effective discounts available.

Watch & tablet users

Elite 2.0 includes free monthly access for one smartwatch and one tablet per line. Premium 2.0 offers 50% off watch/tablet plans. No other tier matches that.

FAQ

AT&T Wireless Questions

Quick answers before you call Finix Connect.

How much are AT&T’s unlimited plans?

Regular single-line prices run $40/mo. (Value 2.0) to $80/mo. (Elite 2.0). Per-line prices drop with more lines — for example, Value 2.0 falls to $27/line at 4 lines with autopay & paperless. AT&T advertises unlimited starting at $30/line, but that requires 4 lines, autopay & paperless, and a $5/mo. BYOD credit per line for up to 36 months. Taxes & fees extra; your final price depends on your specific setup.

What’s the difference between the four tiers?

They differ mainly in high-speed data threshold, hotspot allowance, and perks. Value 2.0 (5 GB high-speed / 3 GB hotspot) suits light data users mostly on Wi-Fi. Extra 2.0 (100 GB / 50 GB) fits most people and is the most popular. Premium 2.0 adds truly unlimited high-speed data (no congestion-based slowdown), 100 GB hotspot, and coverage in 20 Latin American countries. Elite 2.0 adds 250 GB hotspot, international talk/text/data in 210+ destinations, free watch + tablet line access, and AT&T Turbo.

What does “high-speed data threshold” mean?

Your data is still unlimited — you won’t be cut off. On Value 2.0 and Extra 2.0, after you hit the threshold (5 GB or 100 GB), AT&T may temporarily slow your speeds during periods of network congestion. Outside of congestion, you shouldn’t notice a difference. Premium 2.0 and Elite 2.0 aren’t subject to that slowdown regardless of usage.

Can everyone on my account be on a different plan?

Yes. “Unlimited Your Way” lets you mix and match tiers per line, so a heavy data user can be on Premium 2.0 while a light user stays on Value 2.0. Each line is priced individually.

Can I keep my number and bring my own phone?

Yes to both. You can port your existing number from another carrier, and bringing an eligible device (BYOD) earns a $5/mo. bill credit per line for up to 36 months.

Is 5G included?

Yes — every unlimited plan includes 5G access where available. You need a 5G-capable device and to be in a 5G coverage area. 5G is not available everywhere.

Can I save by bundling wireless and internet?

Yes — bundle AT&T internet (fiber or Internet Air) and unlimited wireless and save 20% every month on one service. Autopay & paperless adds up to $10/mo. off per phone line on top of that.

Do these plans have a contract?

AT&T postpaid wireless is month-to-month — there’s no long-term service contract. Device installment agreements are separate if you finance a phone through AT&T.

Which plan is best for travel?

Premium 2.0 includes unlimited talk, text, and high-speed data in 20 Latin American countries at no extra cost. Elite 2.0 goes further with unlimited international talk & text and 20 GB of data per month in 210+ destinations — the strongest choice for frequent international travelers.

Is Finix Connect AT&T?

No. Finix Connect is an independent comparison service and authorized dealer. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of AT&T.
